This placement provides rehabilitation services to cure the leprosy patients and helps the poor and disable people with medical services, basic needs in Nepal.

New SADLE (Skill and Developmnent Learning Experience) is a non-governmental, non-religious, non-political and not for profit organisation whose mission is to cure leprosy affected people particularly beggars and rehabilitate those cured leprosy cases as well as polio affected, other disabled persons and destitutes including under privelleged people of Nepal. They also look after old aged people who have nowhere and no one to turn to by providing them medical services, food, accommodation and necessary clothing.

The specific key roles of New SADLE are:

" Provide medical support to the leprosy sufferers, polio affected and poor and needy people. " Rehabilitate cured leprosy 'social outcast' and disabled people by providing them handicraft skills. " Re-integrate leprosy and polio affected people back to the society in a natural way. " Provide training/employment opportunities to leprosy, polio, severe burn victims, disabled and under-privileged and marginalised people in rehabilitation centers. " Establish homes for elderly and severely disabled persons and service centers for those who cannot work but need day to day services in order to live. " Develop and manage a 50 bed hospital providing hospice services together with its local partners. " Establish and run a private English medium high school. Volunteers should be of minimum age of 20 with minimum education of high school.

Volunteers can assit by doing the following tasks:

This position mainly requires a designer for fair-trade handicrafts. Assistance with marketting, design, product development and potentially expanding international clientelle. There is potential to work and teach directly with the rehab patients while making the handicrafts together.
