If you haven’t ever used a sewing machine then it can be hard to really realise just how much use you will get out of one. A decent sewing machine isn’t always that cheap so it can put people off of getting one, because they can’t see how it will ever be used.

We aren’t all the same height or the same build which can make clothes shopping tough. For example if you are shorter than average then finding trousers or dresses which aren’t too long can be a struggle. If this is you then I bet you have walked away from buying an outfit you really like just because it is too long. However if you had a sewing machine at home, with very basic skills you could shorten the length of this to make it just right for you. So you get to wear whatever you want with minimal hassle.
Lots of people are also put off of buying sewing machines because they feel that they don’t have the skills to be able to use one.
