A forth
night ago Bob and I went to Hawaii, for a vacation, in this beautiful resort,
much to our astonishment we were lock stock and barreled, by not only the
scenic beauty around us, but the unique sets of awnings incorporated in the
entire decoration of the resort.

In the morning, Bob insisted on taking our breakfast by the pool, after
taking a fresh bath in the water. I could not hold my self to notice the
patterns of the awnings lined around the pool. There were these awnings with
stripped canvas that matched with the walls and the oceanic water of the
swimming pool.

Outside the resort during our lunch hour the freshness of the environment
was contained and maintained by, retractable awning and though, it was sunny that
day we could manage our food sanely in the cool shades. My friend bob was
most amused by the circular lever which we used to adjust the sunlight. The
resort was a grand villa and had ample of entertainment waiting for us in the
evening, we choose to go and watch an open theatre with giant awnings
shadowing and defending us from the extreme wind that was circumventing
around the vicinity. Some one told us that the giant awning was equipped with
latest sun reflector as well as wind adjustment sensors that prevents extreme
climate from dismantling our open theatre enthusiasm.

By the evening, we were having our supper of sea food and some wine, the
meal was excellent but the whether was not going to be as the food was. It
had taken a while for us to settle on the table by the beach, when it started
raining cats and dogs. We thought our food was done but the very next moment
our sullenness was replaced by a winning smile. Our rectangular shaped awning
was immediately turned into a hut shape. The waiter brought a candle light
for us to enjoy our meal in the heavy rain showers. I must confess I had
never enjoyed supper so much as at that time, not only because of the taste
but, due to its uniqueness at the concept level.

We were escorted to the main building were the patio was guarded steel
patio awnings cocooned by a water proof canvas with flowers printed on it.
Once inside the main building we headed straight to our room, I thought
expensive wooden flooring will be a disaster owing to the heavy rain showers.
Flabbier ghasted as we were since last morning. The window used by the resort
ensured, that not a single drop was spilled on the floor but the entire water
was redirected to a drainage outside the resort.

The night was windy and we could clearly hear the wind making the ghastly
roaring sound I thought perhaps these delicate awnings would not hold for too
long, and would subdue to the anger of Mother Nature.

The next morning was initiated with our astonishment over the durability of
these awnings, which we later found out, was intact because of their metallic
nature which was of a mixture of titanium and steel. We also found out that
the structure can also be anointed with metals like iron, aluminum and
plastic.

The next afternoon was spent in the nearby botanical garden where, they
cultured rare saplings of plants not to mention the saplings were well
gardened against the direct obnoxious rays of sunlight.

After two days of adventurous vacation when we returned home and we decided
to enquire about home awnings
after all it not every day that you are rescued and astounded by awnings.
